Description | Mr. Schéfer, who is ill, is temporarily replaced by Mr. Philibert. Sieur Cobressi asks for the continuation of the help which was granted to him in 1844. Pasha leaves for Gaza. Trouble in Hebron. Alleged presence of Rechid Pasha in Seyde with a corps of troops. Disarmament and conscription lifting projects. Concerns arising from these projects. The Discretory asks again for the house occupied by the consulate. Proposal submitted to the Minister for the consular house. Fears expressed at the time of the plague which seems to have to manifest itself. Annex: copy of dispatch 2 of 9 January 1846. (pp. 335-339) |
