| Description | This collection includes correspondence received from the US Consulate General in Jerusalem. The 9 selected and described volumes (registers) includes dispatches sent from Jerusalem to Washington DC between 1856 and 1906. A microfilm copy of these registers have been made in 1969 and constitutes the unit number M.453 (5 rolls). After 1906, the letters received by Washington from US embassies and consulates have been organized by themes (trade, war, customs) and no longer by origin. |
