Description | Upon the report given by the municipal doctor regarding the necessity to completely close or cover the Hamam Al Patrik pool located in the Christian neighborhood due to the damage it poses The said pool belongs to the hamam administration known by the name of Hamam Al Patrik, whose trustees are the Alemîzâdes and which is a part of the Hangâh-ı Salahiye Waqf, later seized by the Waqf. Accumulation of water in a dark form can indeed lead to pollution, so a way must be found to solve this problem. Removal of the said damage depends upon either wholly closing the pool or covering it with stone or masonry arches. Implementation of the first alternative necessitates closing down the hamam and this will be at the Waqfs’ drawback; thus, the second alternative has been found appropriate. As presented, in the event that necessary places including the markets located on both its sides are bought or integrated into it through expropriation, it could be possible to transform it into an open space and market place. However, this would cost too much and the current municipality fund cannot afford such an expense. Therefore, although it is appropriate to draw up a map of this place, to determine the costs necessary for this and establish a special commission composed of those attempting to find sources for these expenses, necessary actions shall be taken after the opinion of the office of mutassarrifate is taken.
